Restoring skin health like everything else in life requires steady work. Success is commensurate with the effort invested. Your success in the Skinusa program will depend in part on your commitment to your treatment program. We cannot promise perfection, but we do our best by suggesting the best program for your The Aggressive Approach This approach is suited for severe skin damage and certain medical conditions such as pigmentation problems, in this approach: Skin cleansing with Collagen Gentle Cleanser and the Toner is done twice daily. Skin color balancing agent (Clear Tone Plus) is used twice daily. Sun protection with Safesun Z every four hours before sun exposure. Night renewing agent (SkinUSA anti-Aging Cream) is used twice daily as much as tolerance allows. The usage of moisturizers is strongly discouraged as they slow the needed skin response. Advantages to the Aggressive Approach This is the best approach to correct severe skin problems, such as dark spots, sun damage, pre-cancerous lesions, large pores, scars, severe cases of acne, fine wrinkles, and skin laxity. Results are achieved usually in weeks rather than months. Skin tolerance is quickly restored, which makes the continuation of the treatment much more comfortable. Stimulation of skin to increase collagen and elastin production is at a maximum, which is needed to restore the desired younger appearance. Disadvantages of the Aggressive Approach Temporary sunburned appearance. Skin may feel sensitive and may burn when applying the astringent or the Clear Tone Plus Occasional itching. Lines and wrinkles may temporarily appear worse due to the temporary drying effects of the creams. Monitoring your treatment Ideally, you should continue the treatment 2 -4 months to replace the damaged skin cells with new healthy ones. During treatment on the aggressive approach you should: Consume one jar of the Skinusa Anti-Aging Cream in thirty days. Consume one bottle of Clear Tone Plus in 2-3 weeks. Avoid using the moisturizers as much as possible . Avoid sunbathing or prolonged exposure to the sun. Always wear the recommended sunscreen Safesun Z when outdoors. Avoid hot baths, hot water, saunas, and steam rooms. Warm showers are fine. Avoid waxing or bleaching your skin. If you must wax or bleach, refrain from using or the for five days prior. Refrain from facials for the first six weeks then start having them as usual. Expect some discomfort for the first six weeks, with improved tolerance thereafter. The Normal and Maintenance Approaches: When the desired skin correction is achieved, usually 3-4 months after starting the treatment program, we recommend a form of a maintenance program to keep your skin healthy. The maintenance program will utilize the following steps:
This maintenance program can be followed indefinitely to prevent future skin damage and to maintain the younger, healthier skin you have obtained. Without proper care, skin health will gradually diminish, old skin problems may return, and new skin problems may also develop. Advantages to the Normal Approach Greater degree of comfort during treatmentthan with previous approaches Skin reaction is mild. Moisturizers may be used as needed. Suitable for patients with minimal skin damage. Suitable for younger patients who want to correct acne or sun damage, mild pigmentation problems or freckles. Suitable for patients with sensitive skin who need to begin with a milder approach and slowly move to a more aggressive approach as skin tolerance is restored. Disadvantages to the Normal Approach Longer period of time required for maximum results. Not the proper approach for badly damaged skin or severe pigmentation problems such as melasma (mask of pregnancy). |
