SkinUSA Anti-Aging Cream

The combination of 0.03% Tretinoic Acid and 3% Lactic Acid enhances the skin stimulation needed to reverse skin aging and restore skin health and is a concentration tolerated by the vast majority of patients since we used a rich emollient base and added water lily flower extract, a powerful botanical anti-inflammatory agent.

SkinUSA Anti-Aging cream utilizes four of the most potent and proven free radical scavengers; Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Beta Carotene and Lupin oil. Beta Carotene is the most efficient single antioxidant known. Because it is fat soluble, it is able to work in tandem with Vitamin E in the lipid membranes of the cell. Researchers estimate that a single molecule of Vitamin E within a membrane is sufficient to protect 1,000 lipid molecules from free radical chain reaction. Lupin oil rich with tocopheroles is effective as elastase inhibitor and as a DNA protective agent.

Next, and equally impressive, the formula contains Triticum Vulgare, a new plant agent made from the wheat germ. It has the property of preventing and attenuating the occurrence of aging spots. It stands out as the biological-depigmenting agent able to control the process of melanogenesis. Triticum Vulgare is an active ingredient obtained from wheat germ, rich in sulphur containing molecules. It limits the appearance of skin spots and favors the lightening of skin color by orienting the melanogenesis pathway towards the synthesis of light melanin.

The addition of 4% Kojic Palmatate, derived from a Japanese mushroom, enhances the action of the Triticum Vulgare. The Kojic Palmatate is three times more effective than Kojic Acid.

Colorimetric measurements revealed that compared to Hydroquinone 2%. The combination of 5% Triticum Vulgare and 4% Kojic Palmatate is superior in reducing the brown color of the skin. To enhance the effects further we added a third natural anti-pigment: Licorice root extracts. 

However, the onset of action of these natural ingredients is slower than Hydroquinones with the full benefits requiring six weeks to be realized. Facing the growing concern about the liberal use of Hydroquinones on a long-term basis, the slower action is an acceptable trade-off. 

Finally microfine zinc oxide, a photo-stable, elegant and non-irritating sun block is also added for its soothing effects. For complete protection, we recommend adding SafeSun Z SPF 30.
